Free entry, register in advance!

From the basics to intermediate and advanced techniques, join NikNak as she delivers workshops on DJing, and how to use the equipment to express your love of music. Both the jazz and DJ worlds can be dominated by men, and feel exclusive or intimidating to others. With that in mind, these workshops are specifically for women, non-binary, trans and gender expansive people, so come learn some new skills in a safe and supportive space!

There will be two sessions and each will last for approximately an hour and a half:

The first session at 12pm is for people who are new to DJ’ing - whether you’ve never spun a jog wheel in your life, or you are at an early stage with your skill set.

The second session at 3pm is for more advanced DJ’s who are looking to finesse their existing skills and push the envelope further.

There is space for 10 people in each workshop, so sign up early and please let us know if you can no longer make it, so we can offer the place out to someone else.

Stick around after the event for an evening of free entry music, dancing and drinking the finest Craft Beer selections on offer at Canned Heat.

This event has been made possible thanks to public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
