Jazz at Heart
Lesley Jeffries set up jazz-at-heart when HEART (Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre) first opened ten years ago. An amateur trumpeter, she has become passionate about jazz after meeting so many graduates of the jazz course at Leeds Conservatoire and being impressed by their art and their generosity in sharing their talents. Jazz-at-heart aims to provide inclusive and supportive jazz education for the community and high-quality gigs that would not be out of place in London or New York!
