The Ben Powling Quartet plays Tadd Dameron + Jam Session
For a one-off jazz festival appearance, saxophonist Ben Powling leads a quartet celebrating the music of legendary bebop composer and pianist Tadd Dameron. Hailed by Dexter Gordon as “the romanticist of the bop movement” and known for his work alongside Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughn, John Coltrane and Count Basie, Dameron has left a legacy of timeless compositions including Hot House, If You Could See Me Now, Good Bait and On A Misty Night.
